The price of silicon went down from benginning of March,most factories and traders want to sell their stocks which produced before China new year,everyone in market estimates that silicon price will go down continually ,because it will be in full water period in south of China,let us see the change in May.

China's major ferrosilicon producers have raised the price of ferrosilicon 75# to RMB5600-5800 / ton (US$810-839 / ton) on Friday which compared with the beginning of this week, the transaction price rose RMB500 / ton (US$72.4 / ton). Ferrosilicon producers are expected to conclude some deals according to the new price next week, as tight supply of ferrosilicon will continue.

Today is the first working day after holiday of Chinese New Year, most of silicon factories and traders are also not in the market, as usual they will come back market in early May, when they can use cheap hydroelectricity in SouthWest China. The price of silicon today is higher than price before holiday, if it go up or down? None one know it now, I will keep you posted for it.

Since Jan 1st, 2017 , Chinese customs canceled the export tariff of flake graphite, graphite prices showed a downward trend, for example, before the Spring Festival -194 Chinese graphite quote FOB US $570-600 / ton, compared with the first week of January has reduced 10 dollars / ton, and this FOB price will continue to decline in the future, according to sources, China export tariffs for graphite is 20%, the subsequent price is expected to be down by 20%.

At present, Chinese ferrosilicon prices continued to weaken, the mainstream price of ferro silicon 75# is RMB5300-5600 per ton (US$765-808 / ton), and the prices most remain at low amplitude RMB5300-5400 per ton (US$765-779 / ton). It is RMB50-100 per ton (US$7.2-14.4 / ton) lower than the price of last week. Manufacturers said the ferrosilicon bidding price of January issued to their confidence fell, in view of the market demand is difficult to pick up, the buyers or lower the price again.
